Natosha's Medical/Everyday Expenses

Donation protected

On January 20, 2018 Tosha, Bentley, and Lucy were in a tubing accident.  Lucy is fine. Tosha and Bentley hit heads and were knocked out. They were taken by ambulance to Avera Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD. Bentley had a CT scan, which was clear and he was discharged. Tosha had a CT scan that showed 2 skull fractures, one extending from her left temple all the way to the back of her head,  2 brain bleeds, and a bad concusion. After a couple hours, the doctor ordered another CT scan (thank goodness) and it showed the brain bleed had become life threatening. She was taken into emergency craniotomy surgery. Surgery went well and they stopped both bleeds, but said the next 24-48 hours were critical. Before the surgery Tosha was having right side issues, but after surgery, she is able to talk and she gained use of her right arm and hand again.
Natosha is still currently at Avera in the neurology unit, room 2244. The doctor has told the family to expect approximately 6 months of no work for Tosha. Michael, her husband will be out of work for a while as well taking care of Tosha and their 4 children, ages 12, 10, 6, and 1  during her recovery.
Tosha is a Hospice Nurse and dedicates her life to helping people and now she needs our help. All your thoughts, prayers, and any donations are greatly appreciated.
