A Native American’s College Dream

Jason Yazzie is my nephew and has completed his first year of college at Penn State University, in computer engineering.  But, he has already had to skip one semester to try to save up money for the coming semester.  He does have some scholarship money helping him, but he is still short about $3,000 that he must come up with before the fall semester.  Unfortunately, his job has not allowed him to save enough for the deficit while paying his bills, and he is too proud to ask for help. We are from the Navajo Nation in New Mexico. Jason is the first in our family to get accepted to a 4 year university striaght from high school. I fear that the longer Jason stays out of the university system, he may lose sight of his dream.  He has come so far, and I know that every bit of support from American’s will truly inspire him to stay on course.  Thank you so much for your generious donation.
