National Guardsmen Memorial
Donation protected
In conjunction with our 40th class reunion, the Milford Class of 1979 is asking for your support in paying tribute to the loss of the four National Guardsmen whose helicopter crashed in our community on September 29th, 1979. We ask of your support to provide a memorial for these men in the peaceful setting in the Paxton Ramsey Park, just less than a mile from the crash site.
The reunion memorial will include: the placing of a large memorial boulder with an engraved plaque honoring all four National Guardsman, 4-park benches with each soldiers name on a bronze plaque, and a military type ceremony. We hope to be able to bring each Guardsman's family to Milford to join us for the ceremony honoring their hero. It is our goal to have the memorial’s in place for public display during the ceremony on September 29th, 2019, the 40th anniversary of the accident.
We thank you for your support,
