National Guard Veteran in Need of Help

Donation protected
My husband spent 8 years of his life in the National Guard and got an Honorable Discharge once he fulfilled his duties. Now he needs Help! A few months ago George started getting sick & having stomach issues. Unfortunately he doesn't have medical insurance. At first he was diagnosed with chronic pancreatitis. His condition got worse & he had to be admitted to the hospital. While there tests was done & they told us that he has a mass & needs a surgery called Whipple Procedure (Please take time & go Look This Up), this is a Major Surgical Procedure that is done on Pancreatic Cancer when found in the early stages, but the surgery itself is risky & only 20% of people with this qualify for the surgery. The Hospital he was admitted to said they needed to send him to someone qualified to do this procedure. They was going to send him to one hospital, then we was told that hospital didn't have a bed available, so they waited a few days & then decided to transfer him to another hospital & they did. When he arrived at said hospital he laid there for 8+ hours before an IV was even hooked back up. During this time he started throwing up again & was in extreme pain. He was given an oral medicine for nausea, which he wasn't able to keep down & nothing for pain. An Oncologist Surgeon came in to see him & did a couple more tests & exploratory surgery. That was then confirmed that the Whipple Surgery was going to be needed, however because he doesn't have insurance he was let go by this hospital. We got in touch with Social Security to get that filed, but that can take some time & that is One Thing we don't Have. He is home but is still unable to keep anything down, he is on a liquid diet only until this Surgery can be done. He is extremely weak & has lost a lot of weight just over the past few weeks & he is in a lot of pain. You would think since he served our country for 8 years in the National Guard that he would be able to get benefits from the V.A. but unfortunately he can't. There is a law that is trying to be put forth so that National Guard can get benefits but until this happens he can't get help through the V.A., He gave his time, served our country voluntarily & he should be entitled to the same as any other branch of the service. We are in great need right now with medical expenses, gas, bills , food  & necessities. Please show this United States National Guard Veteran how much his service does mean to all of us. This is going to be a very difficult & long road ahead that we are facing. Even if you can't help monetarily please keep us in your Prayers, it's much needed & appreciated! Please feel free to share to anyone you know, Thank you all in advance!
God Bless You All!
