National Cemetery Bell Tower

Tax deductible
AMVETS Post 1776 wishes to honor veterans daily at their internment. We need your help to raise $100,000 to install and maintain in perpetuity a bell tower at the Tallahassee National Cemetery. This funding will provide a lasting memorial paying respect to those who have served our country from WWII to our current conflicts.

Our proposed bell tower's carillon for the Tallahassee National Cemetery will have a catalog of over 700 songs to include all military branch anthems. It will have the capability to play these songs on demand with plans for it to play Taps at days end in tribute to all veterans who have served our great nation, especially those who paid the ultimate sacrifice.

The first AMVETS Bell Tower was dedicated at Arlington National Cemetery by President Harry S. Truman, December 21, 1949. Since then,  AMVETS has installed over 80 bell towers throughout the United States and at least 20 overseas at significant military sights.
