Once again, Southeastern has provided me the AMAZING OPPORTUNITY to experience the classroom in an entirely different way. Instead of being in a lecture hall taking notes, I will be in ISRAEL EXPERIENCING rather than just note taking. I have chosen to complete my theology minor by taking a Study Abroad course in Israel this summer from May 19 - June 7. While in Israel, I will get to explore my faith and study the text of Scripture within its geographical, historical, and cultural context, as well as interacting with world-renowned scholars including archaeologists and historians.
However, this opportunity comes with a price tag, as does most opportunities. The trip costs $4,500, including airfare, transportation, breakfast and dinner, hotel, etc. I already have about $2,000 towards the trip (thanks to my loving parents), BUT I NEED YOUR HELP TO COVER THE REST!
I feel like this is a moment I can't pass up. As some may already know, I have been accepted and committed to attend medical school at West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine beginning this fall. This is exciting news; however, this is also means that season of life to travel and explore is narrowing, as I will be very busy in medical school and into residency.
If you would like to be a part of my journey to Israel, please consider giving towards my goal of $2,500. This would be a wonderful investment in my life and a great way to celebrate the end of one season and the beginning of another.
