NATHANIEL STUDIES IN ISRAEL

28367394_15214803430_r.jpegHello Family and Friends,
In just a few short weeks, I will be graduating from Southeastern University as an Honors student with a Pre-Med/Biology major and a Chemistry and Theology minor. Being heavily involved in the SEU community as a Senator with Student Government, as a Student Leader and Mentor with the Department of First Year Experience,  as a member of scholastic honors societies like PHSO, and as a Teacher's Assistant in the College of Natural and Health Sciences, I have gained many experiences and life lessons that can't be taught in the classroom.

Once again, Southeastern has provided me the AMAZING OPPORTUNITY to experience the classroom in an entirely different way. Instead of being in a lecture hall taking notes, I will be in ISRAEL  EXPERIENCING rather than just note taking. I have chosen to complete my theology minor by taking a Study Abroad course in Israel this summer from May 19 - June 7. While in Israel, I will get to explore my faith and study the text of Scripture within its geographical, historical, and cultural context, as well as interacting with world-renowned scholars including archaeologists and historians.

However, this opportunity comes with a price tag, as does most opportunities. The trip costs $4,500, including airfare, transportation, breakfast and dinner, hotel, etc. I already have about $2,000 towards the trip (thanks to my loving parents), BUT I NEED YOUR HELP TO COVER THE REST!

I feel like this is a moment I can't pass up. As some may already know, I have been accepted and committed to attend medical school at West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine beginning this fall. This is exciting news; however, this is also means that season of life to travel and explore is narrowing, as I will be very busy in medical school and into residency.

If you would like to be a part of my journey to Israel, please consider giving towards my goal of $2,500. This would be a wonderful investment in my life and a great way to celebrate the end of one season and the beginning of another.
