Support Nathaniel Maxcy's family

Donation protected

August 18, 2018, Nathaniel Maxcy, and his family, were enjoying a weekend at the lake when tragedy struck.  Nathaniel took his young step-brother for a ride and  collided with another watercraft, fatally injuring Nathaniel and sending his step-brother to the hospital.  A day full of fun and sun turned into the Maxcy family's worst nightmare.

Nathaniel had a considerable impact on those that he met.  In the hours after learning of his death, his friends flooded his facebook page with pictures and stories of the times they shared.  His father, Michal wrote "This young man is the best thing that ever happened to me and turned out to be a lot    better man than I could have ever dreamed of". His sentiments were echoed by numerous friends, family members, and his girlfriend that were left behind. Phrases like "one of the best" and "gone too soon" litter the comments.  He will be missed by many.

Nathaniel's father Michal has taken this tragedy especially hard.  He is working on juggling his grief, the medical needs of his step-son who was also in this accident, and the family's financial obligations.  Michal is a self employed truck driver and is not able to work at this time.  While many family members and friends have rallied around Michal and his family, the funeral expenses, hospital bills, and business expenses are starting to become a heavy burden.  Nathaniel was just beginning his career as a plumbing apprentice and did not have life insurance that would help cover some of these expenses.  Please look into yourself and see if you can help this family as they try to work through their grief. If you can make a contribution through this page, please do so.If unable to make a contribution at this time, the family appreciates your thoughts and prayers.   If you would like to make an alternative contribution, please contact Rene Ross and she will make sure that it goes to the family.
