Many of you know that Nathan and Mandy have been advocates for children their whole lives. Teaching bible classes, volunteering for Trail Life ad American Heritage Girls, foster and respite care parents, volunteer work with the Texas Boys Ranch, just to name a few. Maybe one of your kids has been encouraged or supported by them!
What you may not know is that their son Nick is also one they reached out and loved on. Nick came to live with them over 7 years ago. They have tried for years to make his placement permanent through adoption but have run into obstacles at every turn. Now they have the chance for that to happen.
It is a challenging case and is going to cost $7000 because of the many jurisdictions and states that the case will have to be heard in. They are private people but they are reaching out to their family, friends and loved ones to help make this adoption happen for Nick and the family.
