Hey everyone! My name is Nathan Hood and I’m a singer, songwriter and musician based in Southampton, UK.
I’ve put this GOFUNDME together in the aim of asking for help to raise funds to support the production and release of a worship album that I’m currently writing.
For those who don’t know me personally, I’m a 20-year-old Biomedical Sciences student at the University of Southampton in my third and final year of study. However, in my spare time I am also a worship leader at Saint Mary’s Church, Southampton, and part of the worship team back home in Tonbridge at Hillsong Kent.
For me, my faith in God is the most important thing in my life, and from this place I write songs about my relationship with God and my pursuit of Jesus. The purpose of these songs is to invite others into that same place and to give people the words when they don't know what to sing or to pray or to say.
Since I started singing I've wanted to write songs and put an album together to share with those around me, but only recently have I seen the doors of opportunity open for this to actually become a reality. However as a University student, having the money for a project like this is extremely rare - hence why I'm coming on here to ask for your support.
All donations received through this fundraiser will cover the process of recording, production and release of the 4 track EP, including:
- Recording time in a studio.
- Production, including professional mixing and mastering.
- Session musicians and vocalists
- Licencing and Copyrighting
- Photography and videography
- Distribution on Spotify, Apple Music and other streaming services
- Advertisement such as on social media
