Nathan Higgitt fights Cancer

Nathan Robert Higgitt is a very energetic, intelligent, caring, compassionate 12-year-old. He loves what most pre-teens do, gaming, sports and candy! Unfortunately, he was diagnosed with High Risk B cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia earlier this year…now he is fighting for his life.  His mother, Rebecca (Becky) Paine is a recent widow, as Nathan’s father passed away last January 2019 from a massive heart attack. Becky cares for Nathan and her daughter Ryan who is 6. Becky is now solely responsible for her kids and any financial assistance she can receive will really go a long way, as she is not able work right now.
 
She spends her days at the hospital for SickKids in Toronto.  Nathan will live there for the next couple of months receiving treatment. He will be receiving intense chemotherapy to eradicate the cancer cells, allowing new normal cells to grow and will ideally allow the disease to stop spreading beyond his blood.

Becky lives in Barrie and will need to stay in a hotel in downtown Toronto to be closer to Nathan. She also has to manage her daughter as well, who is not allowed in the hospital along with any other visitors due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
