Nathan C. Wooten Memorial Fund
On Tuesday December 1, 2020 a mother’s
heart was shattered as she learned of the
death of her son, Nathan Chandler Wooten.
As a licensed therapist who specializes in grief and trauma, I understand the overwhelming
complexities associated with dealing with the tragic loss of a child while at the same time
having to make arrangements to prepare them for their final rest.
Due to COVID, families are left to deal with
loss void of the support from others
to provide them with meals and other
necessities that may alleviate some of their
pain by relieving them from some of the everyday mundane responsibilities. When I spoke with her today, I was saddened by the quiet in her home. The quiet was evidence that many
are forced to grieve alone.
I decided to take action and let her know that albeit she may not be surrounded by droves of people with casserole dishes In hand, she is
not alone.
I pray that you would consider joining me in
sewing into the Wooten family to help offset any costs associated with the funeral and
burial expenses, or simply allow this mother
the opportunity to take some time off from
work to grieve without having to worry about
losing pay.
I greatly appreciate your support in this
endeavor and I pray that Oona Wooten will
experience many manifestations of God’s
divine provision during this difficult season in her life
