Nathalie Diaz Asmat scholarship fund

On 28 November 2020, our beloved Nathalie passed away from complications related to ovarian cancer. She was 41 years old. Until the end, she was filled with hope to make a full recovery, love for her family and those who suffered from the same disease, and gratitude towards the people that cared for her.

Nathalie was a lawyer. Like her brothers, she graduated from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (PUCP) where her mother was assistant to many law faculty deans over 30 years. She came to Switzerland on a Swiss government scholarship to study trade law at the World Trade Institute (WTI) from the University of Bern and later worked as a trade lawyer at the World Trade Organization in Geneva.

We want to honor and remember Nathalie by creating a scholarship in her name to allow a young Peruvian lawyer to follow in her footsteps and study at the WTI, to make their mark in the world of international trade and represent Peru on the global stage, as Nathalie so proudly did.

The scholarship fund is organised by the Global Impact Association, a non-profit organisation supporting students and alumni of the WTI. All contributions are tax deductible in Switzerland.
