Berkeley or Bust! Youth Leadership-Engineering

My name is Simonita Grenko-Sanchez. I am writing today to ask for your help. I have an amazing opportunity to be able to travel to California and attend the National Youth Leadership Engineering program at the University of California Berkeley.
It is an eight-day program that exercises kids in many different types of engineering and helps them to see what it is really like to have a career in this field. Engineering is something I have aspired to since I was a little kid playing with Legos and roller coaster kits. However, I do not have the 4,000 dollars it cost to go.
My mom is a hard-working caregiver who does an astounding amount of work just so that she can spend time with me. She has put me and all my wants and needs above all else, working extra hours and extra jobs to help give me this opportunity. She is one of the most amazing women that I know, and I am grateful to have her in my life. I could not have even had the chance to attend this program without the help of my mother. I see how much she struggles to make sure that I am happy. Being able to go to this program will help me to have a greater chance of really living up to my dreams of becoming an engineer and being able to give back to my mom all she has given me.
My dad is an engineer, my inspiration for the love of the field. He has giving many opportunities from teaching me to scuba dive, to teaching me how to survive on nothing in the forest. He is a man of many talents who has given me more than many other kids could ever dream of.
They are both amazing people who I am so grateful for. They have both given me so much more than I could have ever asked for, including this opportunity to pursue my dream.
I would be so grateful if you could help them to help get me to get to the National Youth Leadership Engineering program at the University of California Berkeley for this opportunity of a lifetime.
