When people see a fire engine or an ambulance drive by, they often think the people inside are a different breed from the rest. While that may be true, the truth is we are still people. People that can get sick just like you and me.
This go fund me was created by the friends of Nate Leon. Nate was recently diagnosed with stage 4 Hodgkins lymphoma at the young age of 26 and will be starting an aggressive chemotherapy treatment in the coming weeks. Nate is not the kind of person to ask for help but we all know he will need it.
Nate has been a EMT with AMR Monterey county for the past three years and is currently in the final phase of his paramedic internship. On days when he is not serving the people of Monterey, he can found surfing the waves of the Pacific Ocean. Anyone that knows Nate will you tell you that he is one of the most compassionate, fun-loving people around. His ability to light up a room with laughter from a simple smile is something that makes him unique and everyone’s favorite EMT partner. Nate will continue to participate in his internship to show us just how much he’s made of, but he cannot do it alone.
We are asking for whatever donation you can spare to help Nate and his family in his time of need. We ask our EMS family to take care of one our own as he takes on this challenge head on. Thank you for your support. #savesparky #emsfamilyfightstogether
