Henlo my name is Nataly and I'm an 18-year-old trans girl from the UK. I have really, very bad dysphoria.
Transitioning in the UK can be very slow because the NHS puts very little money into trans healthcare. I've been put on a huge waiting list and it's going to be years before I get seen for anything.
I'm lucky to have been on hormones for nearly half a year with the help of an awesome friend, but unfortunately my dysphoria is still often extremely overwhelming and I have been struggling with suicide and self-harm for a very long time now. I've had multiple recent attempts and I don't know if I can hold on much longer. I'm scared that I'll never live to see what it's like to feel happiness.
Most of my dysphoria is because of my face. I essentially have a man's face on a girl's body and it's really horrible. I find it very difficult to look in the mirror and I actively avoid my reflection nowadays. Socialising and going out in public has also got very difficult for me. I wish I could just wear a bag over my head.
This can obviously be fixed with facial feminisation surgery (FFS). However, it costs a lot and it's money that I simply don't have and won't have for at least a decade, hence why I'm reaching out to you. You don't have to donate a huge massive amount. Just putting £1 in the pot and sharing this page with as many people as you can would be hugely helpful. If enough people do that, then we'll reach the goal in no time :3
I've set the goal to £20,000, which is most likely an overestimation of what the final cost will be. I'll be going for a consultation with a surgeon soon (ish) to get the exact cost and I'll make the necessary changes to the funding goal once that's done and dusted. I'm hoping the actual cost will be closer to £10,000, but we'll see.
Even if you don't have £1 to spare, just sharing this page around would be greatly appreciated. £20,000 is an absolutely enormous amount of money, so the more people that see this page the better.
I can't give much in return, but I want to give back to the community somehow. I have a YouTube channel where I intend to either do a stream or just a very long video individually thanking everyone who donates if we reach the funding goal.
