Natali’s fight against Leukemia

Donation protected

Hello everyone, my name is Maricela, im from corcoran CA, and I’m creating this page for my sister Natali, to help her cover expenses that will arise, my mom is staying with her day and night so funds will also go towards her expenses, rent, bills also parking fees, and food for her while they are out in San Francisco. I would like to begin by thanking you for visiting this page and for all of your support. These past 2 months have been very hard for our family. Natali’s story begins in June of 2017. Natali found out she was pregnant with her 3rd child. Immediately she was unable to eat anything; everything she did eat would make her vomit. She would go to the ER and would simply be treated for dehydration and sent back home, blaming the pregnancy. At night she would get extremely bad hot flashes. She mentioned that she felt as if her body was on fire. Her OB saw her multiple times and would always blame the pregnancy for her symptoms. Her symptoms soon took a turn adding to how she was feeling. Some of the new symptoms she was feeling included, fainting, acute lower back pain, and constant headaches that made her feel as though she had been hit. She went to the doctor at least 4 times and the ER 3 times before they found anything. Her platelets were found to be very low but still nothing was done to figure out why she was feeling back pain and headaches, she was told she had anemia and set home yet again. She was unable sleep at all and felt extremely fatigued. Finally, the last time she went to the ER they began by treating her for dehydration and planned to release her shortly after. However, this time she did not let them release her. She told them she knew something was not right and refused to let them send her home. They started by collecting blood and running a series of tests. After al the tests were done she was told she might be at risk for leukemia. Shortly before being transferred to Fresno Natali spent a few days receiving blood transfusions. Once in Fresno they continued testing her blood, she had her first bone marrow bipolar & lumbar puncture. They waited for all her results to come back and explained to her what had been found, an aggressive leukemia. They had wanted to start her on an aggressive chemo right away. Up to 7 doctors were on here team, one of her doctors was pushing her to terminate her pregnancy, she refused to terminate and she decided her and her baby girl would undergo Chemo together. She was then transferred to San Francisco and has now started her Chemo. Sadly Isabella Sky, Natali’s baby girl could not resist the medications and was delivered at 18 weeks. Through it all Natali holds a bright smile and is incredibly brave. She is full of courage. We have been informed her Chemo will be as long as 36 months. We thank you all in advance for your prayers and support & your contributions ♥️
