Natalie's Medical Fund for Spain

This semester I decided to apply to a competitive physician shadowing medical fellowship abroad in Madrid, Spain. Although competitive, after filling out an application and going through multiple rounds of interviews I was accepted into this clinical internship. It has always been my dream to shadow physicians within my preffered specialty and now after being accepted into this fellowship through the Atlantis program I can make my dreams into realities. I was almost discouaged from applying to this program because past participants have been students from institutions such as Harvard, Yale, MIT, and Drexel University. Being a student at the State University of New York at New Paltz, I doubted my chances of getting into a program so rigourous, but in following my dreams I now have a chance to study medicine abroad. In this program I will be placed in the Hospital Universitario HM Montepríncipe, and shadow physicians one-on-one. This clinical internship can truly be a life changing experience.
