Natalie Zoe Medical Assistance

Nancy Coplin here, and I am writing to you, our friends in the music community and beyond, to let you know about our friend Natalie Zoe. Natalie found out in May of this year that she had cancer in both breasts. On August 3rd she had a total bilateral mastectomy.

 Natalie, she has been a part of the Austin music community since 1972.  She started out as a solo artist playing guitar and has been a background singer for the likes of the Lost Gonzo Band, Don Henley, Ruthie Foster, Malford Milligan and others.

 Natalie is unable to work for a number of reasons:

-      after her surgery, she can no longer hold the guitar.

-      she has daily radiation treatments for 7 weeks                      

-      her radiation treatments sap her of her strength.

 Being unable to perform means she has no income. Natalie needs our help with her day-to-day living expenses, not to mention the mountain of medical bills.

 Natalie did not want me to move forward with this Go Fund Me campaign because she felt embarrassed to let people know that she was having problems. However, being the pushy woman I am, I insisted that we do this to show her our support.

 If we don't get out there and help the people in our  community, our community will no longer exist. I hope you will join me in supporting Natalie in this campaign to help her through this troubled time.
