Nasir's Funeral and Family Relief

Donation protected
So many times, he has escaped death, surviving the horrors of war in Afghanistan, in hopes to live in peace and reunite with his father and the other half of the family in Canada…

Everyone was so happy, when after 25 years of living in struggle, under the constant risk of death, Nasir Ahmad finally received his documents and arrived in Canada, where his father has been waiting for him to start a new life in peace. Nasir was a very kind, caring, and hard-working young man, who had many dreams, hopes, and plans for his future. He had such a great passion for life and so much will to help his family and friends. He was working hard to help provide for his family in Afghanistan, he truly believed that one day the entire Hassan’s family (family last name) will be reunited, and they will live happily together in Canada. Unfortunately, for many of us, Nasir will never be able to embody these dreams, as his life tragically ended on June 29th, when he has drowned in a residential building pool in Toronto. It is so deeply unfair and cruel that after going through so many hardships and challenges, our brother Nasir has died at such a young age. It is a very shocking, devastating, and dark moment for his family in Canada and Afghanistan, his friends, and colleagues, and we are all grieving over this loss.

We are hoping to raise funds to help Nasir’s family with the funeral and provide some funds for his family in Afghanistan. Nasir’s father will have to bring his son’s body back to Afghanistan for the funeral with the family, so the money will also help to cover the travel costs associated with transportation of Nasir’s body back home. All the money will go directly to Nasir’s family to help cover the following expenses:

Aftercare funeral service bill in Canada (part of it has been covered by the generous Afghan community), transportation of Nasir’s body back home to Afghanistan, the 2 way ticket (to Afghanistan and back) for the father, the actual funeral with the rest of the family and relatives in Afghanistan, the money for the time of stay  for the father (40 days), financial support for Nasir’s family (including a leave of absence since Nasir’s father will not be present at work for the time of the funeral).

Please donate, share the link, and help us support Nasir’s family during this difficult time. Any help that we can get for them will be greatly appreciated!

Thank you very much for your immense support! We wish all of you and your families to be safe and happy and never experience any tragedies in your life.
