For the past year, I’ve been working with Hard as Nails Ministries as a missionary. This May started a new chapter in that. I am going to working with the ministry for another year, in a different role, as the Media Coordinator.
Pretty cool, huh?
A while back when I told God I’d go anywhere He took me, I had NO IDEA it would bring me back to Syracuse for another year. But God knows my gifts and He knows the ministry needed someone with them.
He knew they didn’t need another preacher, or marketer, or person who calls people. Because heavens knows I’m no good at that kind of stuff. But He knew they needed someone who could find her way around a camera well, edit with Adobe Creative Cloud, is pretty decent at tweeting, and who likes fonts more than phone calls.
The past year was a whirlwind of craziness and growth and beauty. I witnessed event after event of kids and adults giving their lives to Christ and realizing that that is really what it is all about. Bringing them to Christ.
And so, God is using my gifts to bring people to Christ. I am honored by the opportunity that has been given to me and though it is hard to be away from my family and friends in Michigan for another year, I trust that this is all a part of God’s plan, that I usually know nothing about and don’t see until like three years later.
So. His track record is great and I will trust it.
One essential part of my new job is, of course, the fundraising piece. I am no apart of the staff, but as my boss likes to say “We’re all missionaries!” And we all are. We are all in this struggle together and everyone on staff has to fundraise and I am no exception.
Your donations will not only help kids from all over the country to encounter Christ, they will help a kid like me who has stepped out in faith to serve Christ and His Church pay for things like gas and rent and food.
So I am giving this to God, once again because His track record is perfect, and I know He will come through. I just hope He does it through all of YOU. Because you are amazing, and a true blessing to me. I can’t wait to see what He does.
