My name is Amy.  My mother-in-law is known to some as Nida but to us, she is Nanny.    Nanny is a proud mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  She is 81 years young and lives an independent, humble and blessed life in Rockport, Tx., with her 2 pups.
Nanny and the pups were evacuated the day before Hurricane Harvey hit.  She didn't want to leave her home but praise God she listened to reason.  
Nanny is very blessed in the fact her home is still standing because as she puts it, "it was built in the good old days".  It does however have significant wind and water damage for which Nanny has no insurance.    We have no idea what kind of costs there will be in repairing her home so that she may safely return.  We have good friends that are helping to just clear a path to her door as I write this.  We appreciate any assistance you can give so that we can return her to the safe place she knows and loves. Nanny is very proud and will not approve of this request but it is important to all of us that she have the ability to live out the rest of her days in the place she has worked so hard to call home in Rockport, Tx.  Thank you for the time you have taken to know our story and God Bless Us All!
