Nanny Time With Toria- Supporting Families

My name is Challaine and I would love to introduce you to my friend and Mary Poppins for the past 7 years.
When I first met Victoria is was to see if she could watch my dogs while I was on a work trip... Long story short, the plan changed and she has been my nanny (live in and live out) to this day.
Since our first meeting she has absolutely blossomed into the best nanny I could ever ask for and has extended her services casually to many other families.
After a few years she sort of fell into a niche of nannying for families with children who have special abilities of alternative needs.
I've been in the background cheering her on and watching her excel.
She has just launched her business Nanny Time With Toria and has a wait list!
She is facing some financial hurdles though in order for this to be the best nanny service around. This is where I step in with this go fund me.
Because of the nature of her business not being in a "brick and mortar" facility, but in the client's home the government does not provide subsidies, grants or funding.
She has a line up of staff to train, supplies to buy, legal details to oblige to etc.
This is Victoria's statement.
"I started this company because I was sick and tired of hearing the struggles and the complaints of the clients trying to find reliable and qualified care. The complaints were always the same. We couldn’t find someone who was qualified or experienced or we had someone, it was alright for a little bit but then they became unreliable and we had to end it and begin searching again.
Respite care and aid work fall into a gray area the families receive funding from the government via a program usually called FSCD, the family pay out of pocket and the government reimburses them for these fees. The problem lies with the fact that the worker cannot make it anywhere in life with only e-transfers as payment, no mortgages, no car loans nothing like that because according to the banks, they are unemployed if they’re lucky self-employed, and they still have a struggle to prove reliable income, therefore attracting workers for short term and untrained . Therefore trained and skilled workers being pushed into businesses like day, homes, or day cares in order to have legal provable income. However, there is a need to have trained and reliable workers in homes with these children. There are reasons that these children cannot be in a daycare facility but why should that mean that they do not qualify to have a quality worker in charge of their care?
At the same time, the workers themselves are working with children that might have behavioural issues therefore, putting them in a risk situation with absolutely no coverage no back up and no one to help them if they need it .
The industry needs a wake up call and born was Nanny Time With Toria. By starting this company, I aim to provide families with reliable, consistent and qualified care and also to provide employees with legal income and access to health benefits. Workman’s Comp. and EI.
Since launching, I have had an overwhelming response from both workers and clients seeking the same answers. However, I do not have the the capital in order to keep up with this growing demand. I want my staff to have the tools necessary to provide the proper and professional care that these children deserve"
I humbly ask for your support on behalf of my friend, nanny and family member to help her reach her dream of providing consistent, reliable, qualified childcare for families in their home- where elsewhere they would be turned away.
From my heart to yours, thank you!
