Her Story -
My amazing and loving cousin, Nanda Toney, has been suffering from life-debiliating, excruciating pain in her abdomen for over a year now, after a  stomach surgery in August 2016.   The same surgeon, and several doctors afterwards had been unable to diagnose the medical reason for what is occuring to her (until recently).  The latest doctor she saw 2 weeks ago has diagnosed her with  necrosis of the entire abdomen - something no doctor has treated or  seen before.

Nanda is  a wonderful mother - to two boys,  daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and friend.  Anyone who knows Nanda, knows how loving, and caring she is - not just to family and friends, but to everyone she meets.

She has always had a positive, enthusiastic outlook on life and her optimism and energy eminates from her, affecting everyone she is around.  She loves to spend time with her family and friends,  travel, dance, run and cook Italian food.  But, this disease has taken all of that from her.

She is not able to sleep, eat, work, take care her of herself or her two boys.   She is unable to walk or even move, due to the pain and weakness. She lost her job several months ago and will lose her home soon too.

She has been to the emergency room almost every single week in unbearable pain, and has gone through several expensive surgeries, desperate for some relief.

The doctors and surgeons had stated they could try to repair the muscle and tissue, but unfortunately, they only made it worse.  The doctors  put her on 24/7 hard narcotics, which have had little to no effect on the pain.

Her Diagnosis -

The latest doctor she saw 2 weeks ago said that her CT scan shows her entire abdomen muscles are in necrosis - dying.  After some research, this sounds like it might be the answer.  This is the only real diagnosis she has ever had.

The doctor has stated that unless she has surgery to remove all the dead/dying muscle and tissue, it will poison her and she will not be able to live.

Even after this surgery, we really don't know what the outcome will be, but at least there's  hope.

However, she has no more funds to move forward with any doctor appointments, surgery or perscriptions and the other medical expenses just keep increasing.

Help -

We ask for whatever support you can give to help Nanda, to help her and her family with her medical bills for surgery, recovery and hopefully, rehabilitation.

Her only wish is to be able to have some relief, and hope to be able to live a simple life and take care of her two boys.

Any support  is very much appreciated.
