Nanay Anabelle's medical needs

Donation protected
This is my nanay (mother) Anabelle. Since October 2016, she had been hospitalized for various complications related to her diabetes. She got admitted for swollen face and limbs, and found out she also had pneumonia. The next visit, she got admitted for swollen stomach due to accumulation of fluid and another bout of pneumonia to make it worst. This time, we got the confirmation that her kidney had failed.

Last week, July 4th  was her 3rd hospitalization in 9 months. She was taken to the ER due to having difficulty breathing, the oxygen tank we had at home did not help with it.

My nanay had diabetes for the past  27 years. Taking medications that long has already affected her kidney and now it is poorly functioning. The doctor recommended dialysis to be done 3 times a week, and in the Philippines it equates to big expenses from medication, dialysis sessions, to frequenting the hospitals.

Due to the condition of her kidney, fluid had collected in her lungs causing her breathing difficulty. They drained 1.5 liters of fluid on one of her lungs and left the draining of the other side to be done with the aid of dialysis to avoid more poking. Nanay usually gets her dialysis from a center instead of a hospital, that way it is much cheaper for us. She has Philhealth (National Health Insurance Program in the Philippines) that covers 90 free sessions of dialysis in a year, and her visit to the ER is the only one covered by her private insurance provider and that amount is limited. We had sought help from PCSO (charity organization) and it covers the medications she needed.

We opted to discharge her from the hospital earlier against the advice of her doctor even though she is scheduled for a couple more sessions of dialysis within the hospital, we did this due to the bill we are about to pay.

We are knocking on your heart to ask for your financial support with nanay’s medical bills, this is her 3rd hospitalization and me and my siblings are still paying in installment for the first hospitalization she had had 9 months ago. To add to with the burden, Philhealth informed us that we had already exhausted her benefits for the year, despite of this, we are thankful for the government for having such program to help the public.

Your donation will help us pay for the hospitalization, cover the cost of medication and other future medical care she might need. Your gift will also give our family a break from the financial hardship we are going through to aid with nanay's expenses.

We also seek for your prayers to bring comfort to nanay as it is heartbreaking to see her suffer from pain and see the deterioration in her body as time goes by. We will also appreciate if you could please share this to help with our campaign.

Thank you very much for all your generosity, words are not enough to express our gratitude. May you all be blessed for all your good deeds. Any help would be much appreciated. ---- Thankful for all of your help, Analyn.
