We are asking for your help in order to increase the amount of financial assistance that we offer, enabling families facing financial hardship to send their children to Namaste Montessori School, and maintaining our vibrant and diverse community! Our initial goal is $12,840, the annual cost of the elementary program for one child.
Our goal at Namaste Montessori School has always been to make high-quality Montessori education available and accessible to families. We believe that the Montessori approach supports the optimal development of each child to their fullest potential, and that it should not be limited only to those who can afford to pay high tuition costs. We keep our tuition rates as low as we can while paying our teachers a living wage so they can support themselves and their families. We provide financial assistance to families facing financial hardship, and accept DSS Childcare subsidy as full tuition for those families that qualify.
The past year has been challenging in many ways, including financially. The COVID-19 pandemic has affected some of our families much more significantly than others. It has also impacted our school as we have had to operate with reduced class sizes and increased costs. We have had to increase our tuition rates for the 2021-22 school year, and we recognize that this can pose a significant financial hurdle to both current and prospective families.
