Help the Naket Family Recover

Urgent Appeal for Help. 

On Wednesday 26th July 2017  we received some very distressing news from our Charity. One of the families living on Tanna Tanna Island Vanuatu, unfortunately their HOUSE WAS TOTALLY DESTROYED IN A FIRE. 
We received this from Tanna.....

"This is the Naket family who are feeling down for their houses burnt down. A lady lit a candle and went to bed but forgot to put it off. Fire got onto a mat and lid up to the roof while the lady was asleep with her two children.suddenly she felt warm, she got up and saw fire she grabbed and hanged onto her two children and rushed outside.when she went outside there was no chance of going inside again. All her belonging burnt to ash" Red Cross have been advised but as yet no response.

Our appeal is for donations to help this family rebuild their shattered lives. This mother is very young and was already struggling to clothe and feed her children.
Building another grass hut can take time, because gathering enough timber, reeds and bamboo together is tedious and time consuming. These families are still doing it tough after Cyclone Pam so your help would be gratefully appreciated. 

We need to purchase:
Blankets                                        towels
clothing                                         Mattress
Kitchen utensils                        solar lamp
shoes                                               tarp for rain season

Money will go directly to the family and we will post an update of their plight when we return to Tanna in September 2017.
