Kenya Band Trip 2019

In February of 2019, the Cornerstone Christian Church worship band will be heading to Kenya to lead worship at a missionary conference for one week. The missionaries who attend this conference come from the entire continent of Africa, and many serve in very difficult environments. This is a very humbling experience for the team, as we will be "serving the servants", by leading these dear people in worship who serve on the front lines as representatives for Christ in these countries. This is the third time since 2015 that an area church worship band has been asked to serve in this way and an intentional effort is made to involve different band personnel each time. This band is comprised of musicians from two area North Jersey churches...Cornerstone Christian Church and Emergence. They are (from left): Brendan Quinn, Amy and Justin Provencher, Mike Marrero, Will Lauzon, and John Bandstra.



The funds needed are to cover the travel expenses, (both in the air and on the ground), conference room & board, other lodging, insurance, visas, etc.  We will be so grateful for any support you can give, as well as prayer support. This is not a typical short term missions trip.  It is an opportunity for us to lead about 400 missionaries in daily worship. Many of whom will be coming from circumstances where corporate worship and singing in their own language has not been possible for them for two years. Many come to this conference, "worship starved" and it is an absolute thrill and honor for us to be used by God in this way.

This conference has made an impact on all band members who have been involved to date. We always come away with a better understanding of what God is doing on the continent of Africa. While we are there to bless these lovely people, it is we who come away blessed by just being in their presence, and hearing how God is working in their fields of service, and in their personal lives. We leave this conference totally refreshed and with an expanded worldview. So, please prayerfully consider partnering with us on this very important trip. We will be so appreciative if you are able!
