Happy, healthy, bouncing baby girls, right?
What a difference a day makes.
Yesterday, these baby girls started to become lethargic. They were immediately taken to the vet ER where all 3 tested positive for parvo. Parvo is one of those dreaded viruses that puppies get once. They either survive it, or they don't. It is costly, there are no guarantees, but with 3 faces staring at you, there is only one choice: to give these girls a fighting chance.
Justine, Devyn and Dominique were about to officially write their story of triumph over tragedy. The girls had been found dumped in the woods in rural AR -- another unwanted litter left to fend for themselves, as is all too common a story. For 3 weeks while they were getting fat, happy and vaccinated, they romped and played, brightening everyone's day, just waiting until this week when they were going to board transport to the northeast to find their homes!
Now all three are at the vet hospital hooked up to IV fluids and fighting for their lives . . . again.
Parvo treatment will be between $600 - 1,000 each and we are hoping to raise enough money to give these baby girls the best fighting chance possible.
No amount is too small. Little Pink Shelter is a 501(c)3 and all donations are tax-deductible and eligible for corporate matching funds programs.
