***UPDATE*** Today (7/5) at 1:30pm Brian passed peacefully with Nadine by his side. She thanked him for their 3 beautiful boys and promised him to be the best she could be for herself and the children today and moving forward. Please keep her in your thoughts.
Hi Friends!! I am starting this campaign and need YOUR help to make it a successful one!! Nadine Gasparian's husband Brian went in for hip replacement surgery on 5/11 and was discharged the very next day. On the evening of 5/13 as he slept, Brian's breathing sounded erratic and 911 was called, and he was rushed to the ER. Dr's told Nadine that 90% of Brian's lungs were compromised and they didn't know why. He was immediately intubated and placed into a medically induced coma to give him a chance for his lungs to heal. The initial diagnosis was FES (Fat embolism syndrome) which occurred during the hip surgery. This has now led to ARDS (acute respiratory distress syndrome) and the Dr's are doing all they can do and we are in over 7 weeks with no major change or improvement. He is fighting for his life. Nadine along with her three boys precious boys, Cooper (11), Fletcher (9) and Walker (8) are right there with him...As are all of you from the comments and messages you have been sending!! Many of you have asked and emailed me privately "What can I do"? Well, Nadine would never ASK for help as she thinks she can manage everything...but right now, sadly, she can't. But WE can!!
Nadine is rapidly running out of funds needed to keep things going. The medical bills alone will be enormous. Without Brian's income (he is self employed) she is left using their "Emergency Funds to keep things going. I want us to help them by replenishing the pot. ANY funds you can donate no matter the size will certainly go a long way to help them and would be so much appreciated as she faces such uncertainty of what's to happen next.
