Nadias Journey

Nadia is 4 years old and was first diagnosed with leukaemia after several colds and infections at just 18 months old. She and her amazing mother Ewa have had a tough time with no family or partner to support her, she has been doing it all alone! Days, weeks and months on end , Nadia fights like a princess and was always smiling. She was cured in March 2017 and started to enjoy all the things a little girl should and that she couldnt do since being just a baby! She was loving life... but it was shortlived, after just three months Nadia relapsed, it was back!! Treatment all started again and even more aggressive than before. She is sometimes isolated for months on end due to infections and serious problems with her liver. She now needed bone marrow. The search was on, we found a match and they are now in Bristol and she has successfully recieved her transplant. These girls are stuck out in Bristol while she recovers and undertakes more chemo and intense radiotherapy but still they are fighting! Its a scary time and little Nadia still beems with smiles every day and Ewa is so strong. I cant imagine taking my child on this journey, something none of us would want but this is her reality. When i see or speak to this beauitful 4 year old baby, she says how are you?? She is just amazing and heartbreaking all at once. I will be walking the 30 mile Rutland water route and its Penisula with friends and will raise money for them and childrens cancer.
