Mikeys Recovery

On Sunday October 6, 2019 my nephew Mikey was in his tree stand and his cable snapped. He fell roughly 26 ft.  Mikey was able to reach his little brother by phone for help. His brother helped him out of the woods to an ambulance.  He was assessed and it was determined that he needed to be airlifted to Jersey Shore Hospital. Mikey had several scans done and they found many broken and some shattered bones. Mikey shattered his pelvis in front and back. He has a  cracked hip , fractured sacrum and 4 fractured vertebrae in his back . He had hours of surgery today to do many repairs. Mikey will be released to go home to heal for a minimum of 3 to 4 months before he can start rehab for his injuries.  He is not allowed to put full weight on his legs until atleast then. They are afraid of a shift in his sacrum that would give him nerve damage. He is going to have to use alot of medical equipment for his daily life and need the help of his family for day to day things. He is mason and provides for his fiance and two young daughters. He will now be out of work for a long while. We all know the financial hardship his family is about to endure. My hope is to lessen the burden on Tina and Mikey. Any dollar amount would be appreciated. Please share even if you couldnt donate. Also please keep him , Tina and his daughters in prayer as they have a very long road ahead of them. Thank you,  Mikeys Aunt Shanan
