My name is Bentley Oliver Hagins, I am a French Mastiff and I was born in a small town in north east Louisiana in 2010. My family drove from Dallas, TX to pick me up. I was so excited to be with my new family for Christmas. I had a stocking with my name on it, a new older sister named Lola and a start to a great new life. I love my family so much and they love me too. I soon got older and decided I loved the finer things in life like Fritos, Beggin Strips, Cupcakes, as well as laying on my doggie bed with my toys enjoying a great classical movie like Turner & Hooch. I have to admit, my family loves me so much...even if I do snore and drool all over the place :-)
Well, almost a year ago I was outside doing my business and somehow or other I got out of my yard. My dad was in St Louis working and my grandma and human sister Taylor were home, but were unable to locate me. I was so lost and so scared, I was unable to find my way back home to my family :-(
My journey has been pretty rough over the past 11 months. When my dad found me I could not even stand up, I was weak and just ready to give up on life. I have lost almost 100 pounds, I now have heartworms, an ear infection, bad teeth, and my hip needs to be repaired. I am unable to put any weight on my right hind leg due to the pain it causes me. My Doctor is trying to help my pain with medication, but the medicine can only do so much...my entire body hurts :-(
My dad and family are trying their best to help me feel better, but I think they may need some outside help due to the expensive procedures that I need to have done. If anyone is able to help, I know my dad and family would be very appreciative of the help.
