John's Visions

Donation protected
Sometimes the ironies of life take us much by surprise. Misfortune, hard luck, destiny- call it what you will. Sometimes a person can just be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Or, you only know afterwards, what was the deeper meaning of the event that takes place...
This could be that kind of story.

Our beloved and unique warrior John has been hard at work in the wild jewel of Costa Rica, busy with his cause of cultural transformation by reconnecting the individual through inner, outer and sacred nature. He has been telling his story on film, to upscale his impact and to give more people access to his wisdom and wonderfully profound legacy- through his teachings about the 12 Principles, the universal pathway to transformation as The Way of Nature offers.
Our plan was (and still is) to make a movie about the “why” “what” and ‘how” of The Guiding Principles, focusing also on the business world- as cultural transformation can also be supported in a work environment. Our work on this project has brought us great pleasure and some considerable financial cost.

Yesterday, on the final day of shooting, we found a wonderful spot in nature. Secluded, beautiful and serene, up on a hill near some nice rocks. It could not have been more perfect!

We began recording. John was explaining the importance of relaxation (illustrating this by how Samurai warriors operate), when suddenly three masked men appeared (one with a knife, one with a set of brass knuckles) and demanded our valuables- they took my ipad ( with most of the prepared work), John’s cellphone, and most importantly: John’s brand new fantastic camera. John may have suffered a broken thumb during the scuffle that ensued, but we are feeling fortunate to have come away with our lives- having lost only a body of work and some personal possessions.

There could have been other scenarios to the way this ended, but I am feeling sad for the loss of John’s new camera. It was a symbol of John somehow, a bridge between nature and his audience. He was following his passion, telling his story for all of us, and some damaged youth took it away.
I am raising money to get John a new camera, so that John can move on with the work AND his passion. If you can help us, please consider making a contribution. Thank you so very much!
