Hi, my name is Jeffrey Harrison Freeman and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart and a humble request. I’m a father who’s currently battling a rare neurological condition which has taken away my ability to work and left me struggling — physically, emotionally, and financially. It has made it difficult for me to work, walk and do most motor activities. I do get a small cheque from the government but it is hardly enough to cover any living expense, let alone any unexpected expense.

Father’s Day is coming up, and so is my daughter’s 3rd birthday. Being her dad is the most important part of my life, and I can’t bear the thought of not being able to see her, hug her, and celebrate this milestone together. She's growing so fast, and I don’t want to miss another precious moment.

Right now, I’m completely broke and unable to afford the costs to make that happen. My girlfriend, who has been my rock, has been working to help support the both of us and keep us afloat. She helped me set up this gofundme because of my difficulty typing. We had everything figured out. She is starting a new job back in the medical field on Monday and she was going to work for Uber just to have enough money for us to spend Sunday with my daughter, who lives in Tampa (I currently live in Miami and depend on my girlfriend entirely to be able to see my daughter). But just today, she was in a horrific car accident. By some miracle, she’s physically okay — but her car is badly damaged and undriveable. Without it, she can’t work, and we can’t get to my daughter.

I’m trying to raise $800 to rent a car for the week. That amount will cover the rental, the security deposit, and the hold placed on our debit card — so that she can keep working and we can make the trip to see my daughter for her birthday and Father’s Day.

This is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do — to ask for help. But I have no other option right now. If you’re able to give anything — even just a few dollars — it would mean the world to me. And if you’re not in a position to donate, your prayers and sharing this with others would be a huge blessing.
