Robert (Bob) Heike medical expenses

I'm Mary Bossenbery-Russo many of you know me as Bob's girlfriend/wife. On February 5, Bob drove himself to Clare hospital thinking he might of had a stroke.  After giving him a CT Scan they told him he had bleeding on the brain.  He was sent by ambulance to Mid-Michigan/U of M hospital in midland. The Neuro surgeon's PA looked at his CT Scan and did some visual tests on Bob she told both of us that he has masses on his brain.  No stroke! No bleeding on the brain! Bob was then admitted to the hospital one level down from intensive care.  At 5:30 that evening the Neuro surgeon came in the room and did the same visual test that his PA did. He told us that if Bob came to the hospital years ago with his symptoms they would have told him we don't know what's wrong with you and sent him home but with modern technology we see he has masses on his brain. He passed all the visual tests. They gave him an IV of a steroid to reduce the swelling and a medicine for seizures right away. At 6:00 Bob was on his way for a contrast MRI.

We stayed the night in the hospital and at 10 the next morning he was on his way to have a full body CT Scan then to see the radiologist. When we met the radiologist he explained that there is a lot of swelling along with numerous masses and the best plan of action is 10 full brain radiation treatments. In fact he started that day with them making a mask of his face so they could bolt his head to the table for treatments. That day he also had his first treatment.  We fought to get him released that evening because he was not have the symptoms that he came in the with. but We were stopped by an oncologist PA she made us promise to see the oncologist first thing the next week because they seen spots by his lung.

In 20 days Bob has had 10 radiation treatments, a port put in for chemo therapy, a full body PET Scan, an appointment for a biopsy of the lymph node next to his lung and airway, and he has lost all his hair!  I have been with him for all major appointments but I still need to work.  We have yet to receive a bill or co-pay or know what the financial cost will be. A local bar owner in Harrison is putting on a dinner benefit for Bob on March 8. We know many of our friends from Detroit might not be able to make it, this is why I started this Go Fund Me. We know that many of you would want to help.

We love you all!!! Stay positive As we are!!! Please send PRAYERS!!  BOB'S GOING TO BEAT THIS!!!
