<div>My name is Mathew Westwood, and I have never in my life asked anyone for help—until today.

<div>I’m ashamed, I’m embarrassed, and I’m terrified, but I’m also out of options. I understand that I’m not the only one that has issues.

<div>For years, I fought severe clinical depression after the death of both my parents and crippling anxiety. I kept working, kept smiling, kept everything buried. Then the medications stopped working. Some made the darkness worse. I started missing days, then weeks. In early 2024, my mind and body gave out completely, and I had to quit my job. I haven’t earned a legit paycheck in over a year and a half.

<div>The bills never stopped. I’m eight months behind on my mortgage—foreclosure has already begun. My car is months behind too. Everything I worked my whole life for is slipping away, and I’m drowning.

<div>But something inside me is still fighting.
</div>
<div><strong>This isn’t just about money anymore—this is about saving my life.</strong> I even got myself up to 640 pounds.
</div>
<div>I’m on a journey to pull myself out of this hole, mentally and physically. I’m changing everything: new doctors, new treatment, therapy, walking every single day, eating clean, and committing to losing the weight that has made everything harder. I’m doing it for me, but I also want to prove to anyone else stuck in the dark that it’s possible—that you can claw your way back, one pound and one day at a time.

<div>I want to document this journey, lose the weight, get mentally strong again, get back to work, and inspire other people who feel hopeless that they can do it too.

<div><strong>Right now, though, I’m running out of time. If I lose my house, this journey ends before it can even begin. I’ll be on the street, me and my 2 pups.</strong>

<div>I’m begging for a lifeline—just enough to catch up on my mortgage, keep my car, and buy the months I need to get healthy enough to work again and stand on my own two feet.
