Hi everyone,

Dora is our beautiful rescue who was found on the streets of Spain having suffered the most awful abuse. Both her back and front legs were broken, she had open sores all over her little body and she was starving to death. At the time, it was unlikely she would survive the night, but thanks to her amazing rescue team, her story did not end there.

Amazingly she pulled through the night. She had surgery in Spain to plate the back leg but unfortunately there was little they could do for the front leg as the bone had fused at the elbow. It was hoped that Dora would at least be able to use the leg for balance.
After moving to England to be with us in May, Dora has been having weekly physio and hydrotherapy but very sadly, her leg is unable to be saved. As she's growing, the grow plates in her front leg have nowhere to go due to the fuse, so her elbow is getting bigger and bigger, and very painful Dora also trips over her leg constantly where it hangs in an awkward position (see photo below). This makes me laugh as her ears are too big for the space that Gofundme gives for the photo

Dora is the most wonderful baby girl in the world. She is funny, she is cheeky and she is SO ❤️ She is besties with all our whippets. She also happens to be stunningly beautiful, and we are stopped constantly with people marvelling at her ears, her massively long tail and of course her signature leg!
Dora needs her leg amputated at the shoulder so she can continue to live her best life. With the cost of her weekly Therapies, I was shocked to hear that the amputation would cost between £2000-£2500 depending on the aftercare she needs.
As a family, we would be SO grateful for any help, no matter how small, that you could give so that our beautiful girl can move on from her most awful start. If we are lucky enough to raise enough for her surgery, anything extra would go towards her continued to physio and hydrotherapy, which is a life long commitment to maintain her posture.
Thank you so much for reading.
