My name is Sheila and stevie is my older brother. Stevie is mentally handicapped. My sister Sandy and were just informed 5 days ago that because the facility that he stays in is being turned into a skilled nursing facility he is no longer eligible to stay there. My sister and I have come to the conclusion that because our brother does not do well with change, or new people, that rather than stress him out, and see him go into a depression, that we would bring him home to live with us, and take care of him ourselves. We have to move into a new apartment because where we live now has stairs, and because Stevie is in a wheelchair and a fall risk due to the fact that he has seizures. Stevie is an amazing person, and because he has always been like a child, through his eyes I am still young. He sees the world with an innocense that I envy at times, and he gives the very best hugs that can only be described as medicine for my soul. He complains about nothing and laughs when he thinks he is pulling one over on you. He loves the NBA, and the NFL, football cards, and softcover Bibles; you can't get any simpler than that. We are in need of financial help for the move. I have never done anything like this, and would only do this for him. Thank you.
