Help Ashley with medical expenses
Donation protected
UPDATE:
Ashley and her family want to express huge appreciation and gratitude to all those who donated to and shared her Go Fund Me page to spread the word in support of her and her family.
Ashley is still healing and doing well. It’s been a slow and extremely painful process however she feels so blessed to come this far. Due to her autoimmune conditions her body has healed much slower than normal. She is very pleased with the outcome of the surgery and the ability it is giving her to return to a healthier situation overall. She is extremely humbled and grateful for the financial help, love and support from so many people.
After much thought, prayer and discussion with her doctors she is going to stay at this stage and not pursue the 2nd and 3rd phases of the surgery.
With this in mind we’ve adjusted the goal amount. She will undergo the next surgery of phase 1 in April and from there on out it should just be healing and minor adjustments. The finish line is getting closer and we couldn’t have done it without you all.
If you could take a minute to donate if you are able and/or share this campaign it will help them make it through this final stretch and would mean the world to Ashley and her family and friends. Venmo information is available on last picture if you’d prefer to donate through that avenue.
Thank you Thank you Thank you!!!
Hello, I am Rachelle and I started this Go Fund me for my friend, Ashley, because she is facing major medical expenses in the near future. She has always been the kind of person who helps others and gives everything she has to help anyone in need and I want to return the favor now that she is in dire need.
Ashley has had several years of extreme trials and hardships. She has stayed strong and positive throughout and continues to provide for her children and be a wonderful mother. Unfortunately, her trials continue to grow. She began to feel more and more exhausted with ever increasing pain that had no explanation. It took a lot of doctors, and tests, and time to figure out what was wrong. It turns out she has multiple Autoimmune diseases; Fibromyalgia, Osteoarthritis, Thyroid disorder as well as Undifferentiated Muscle Tissue Connectivity Disorder, just to name a few. These conditions have caused extreme pain and many weird conflicting symptoms.
During the process to figure out what was going on, one of the medications that she was on caused her teeth to deteriorate at a quick pace. It happened so quickly and so thoroughly that there was little dentists or oral surgeons could do to save her teeth. At this point, due to the severity of her situation, she is now facing multiple surgeries to repair the damage with bone grafts and a process to smooth out the bone. She will need temporary dentures and eventually implants to bring her to a place where she has the ability to eat normally again. There will need to be healing between procedures and many visits and consultations with the oral surgeon and dentist. Due to the severe nature of her other health conditions this has been a complicated collaboration between her medical specialists and dental specialists to make sure the process is as smooth as possible. All of this constitutes a huge financial burden of almost $50,000. To this point she has used up her financial reserves just trying to save some teeth and losing the battle with the deterioration and pain.
Ashley has not wanted to put this out there because she has difficulty asking for help and is embarrassed to need help even though this was clearly out of her control. She is just in her early 40’s and we can only imagine the devastation of losing your teeth at such a young age.
So, we ask for your help. Please donate whatever you can to Ashley. If you are unable to donate but can share and spread the word that would mean so much to not only Ashley, but to all of us as her family, friends and loved ones. Through all the of this Ashley has continued to do her best and maintained a positive attitude. She has been blessed with the support of amazing family, friends and caring doctors and dentists along the way.
We all love her and want to see this one thing that can be healed taken care of for her. Thank you for your time, your compassion and hopefully whatever help you can offer.
Sincerely,
Ashley’s Family and Friends
