Space Race
Donation protected
What is it?
A fundraiser where Andres Garcia will run 100 kilometers in one day (that’s 62 miles!) To complete this, he will run 250 laps around the Delphian School’s track.
Why is it called the Space Race?
There are 100 kilometers between the Earth and space. That means that if it was physically possible, Andres would be running to space! This should take somewhere between 14 and 20 hours.
What is the fundraiser for?
The money collected will be used to help Santiam High School, which was heavily affected by the recent fires in Oregon, and to help their students get back in extracurricular activities.
How can you help?
If you choose to donate, you will provide eight cents for each lap Andres runs. That means that the total amount you will pay is $20. Don’t worry, you don’t have to watch the whole time.
When is it?
Andres will start running on Wednesday, November 4th at midnight.
