Anthony's Journey

Hi I'm Jesse, Anthony's dad. As many of you know my son was in an accident last April and the doctors didn't think he was going to make it but here we are today and he is still alive and with us. It's been a long road. He went to Texas Neuro Rehab in Austin but a little over a month ago he was sent to a nursing facility in Waco because the insurance would no longer pay for him to be in Austin due to him not progressing the way they believed he should. He is not getting the physical or speech therapy at this new facility due to insurance issues. Medicaid has not been approved nor disability so he is kind of stuck right now. He is laughing and interacting more with us and trying to talk alot but still have issues understanding him at times.

He is in need of a wheelchair because the nursing facility doesn't have the special kind of wheelchair needed for him so he cannot get out of bed. We are not sure if the insurance will pay for his chair or not.

We are just asking for any kind of help to be able to make sure we have the means to get him what he needs to get better and be able to have mobility. We are hoping if we can work with him and he starts communicating we can get him back to the rehab facility in Austin.

Please help our family to get him everything he needs to succeed in his recovery.
