Help for the Ledbetter Family

At almost 32 weeks into my pregnancy, my water broke on one of our twins and I was put on bed rest at the hospital. A week later on February 18th, Tyler and I were blessed with our first babies, a boy (Liam) and a girl (Avery). They were born at 33 weeks and 1 day premature. We knew they would have some hurdles to overcome from being born early but at 4 days old we were told that the doctor thought our son had NEC, which is a disease of the bowel only found in newborns. There was a chance that if he did have it then his bowel could rupture or he would have to have a part of his bowel removed. At 5 days old our babies took their first helicopter flight to Little Rock but the chopper couldn't land due to weather. Children's Mercy in Kansas City was able to take them in so the babies flew again while we made our way here. On route, they gave little Liam his first blood transfusion to help with anemia. The doctors monitored him for the first night but noted that his belly was taking on a gray tint. The next morning we got a call that he needed emergency surgery because the gray color had moved out to his legs and up to his neck. Liam had his first abdominal surgery at 6 days old, where they found that his intestines had flipped on themselves during development and, as he grew, hadn't been receiving blood flow. Currently, Liam is sedated and has his intestines in a silo (clear bag) laying on his belly. The doctor's are monitoring the color to ensure blood flow is getting back and to check for damaged intestines. Our baby will have his second abdominal surgery tomorrow to remove any damaged intestines and seal his abdomen back up. We were told he's one of the sickest babies at hospital right now. I'm on maternity leave but Tyler has been on and off of work for the last three weeks with mine and the babies hospitalization. Now being so far from home, he's not able to go to work so there's a chance that he'll have to return to Northwest Arkansas to work while I stay here with the babies. We think with Liam's recovery, we're going to have to be in KC for a month minimum and would love for Tyler to be able to stay with our family. Any amount is appreciated and will help, but prayers are also welcome for our babies and family.
