Grand Piano Fundraiser for Merrimans' Playhouse

This video is about Merrimans' Playhouse Grand Piano Fundraiser for 2019. Merrimans' Playhouse, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, founded by Stephen and Mary Merriman. Our mission is promoting the art and education of jazz in our community. Merrimans' Playhouse, Inc. wishes to purchase the Young Chang 9' Concert Grand for their stage. It has a Renner action (one of the best), is dated 1984, and has an artists bench. Merrimans' Playhouse is temporarily housing this consignment piano.

We need to raise $20,000 to purchase this piano and give it a permanent home on Merrimans' Playhouse stage. A $225 pledge will fund a key of your choice. All we need are 88 "KEY Pledges" to purchase this piano! But any amount will be appreciated. You will be listed as a piano sponsor in our program. If you are a business, we can also post your logo in our programs and on our website.

Merrimans' Playhouse produces over 100 jazz concerts and events per year. These include weekly jazz performance series concerts by national and international touring jazz artists, Home-Grown Jazz Performance Series concerts featuring local artists, Student Jazz Performance Series concerts featuring college and high school students, weekly Jazz Open Sessions for local musicians and students, music workshops from touring jazz artists, and student recitals. It is vital to have a great performance piano that feels and sounds good for both the musician and the listener.
