Hey y'all! First we want to thank you for taking the time to read our story & secondly we would like to tell you a little about us, our story, and why we need help from our family and friends!

To get you up to speed, Micahel and I have been dating for 8 years, homeowners for 4 years, and trying to conceive for 3 very long unsuccessful years.

When I was 18, I  was diagnosed with PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome). Basically I have a hormone imbalance which makes my body produce large amounts of testosterone and my body seems to think that I am a teenaged boy (I will spear you the details). It also causes me to have many cysts on my ovaries.

The first time that I saw my ovaries on an ultrasound my heart died. Think of a golf ball dipped in hot glue and then rolled around in a bag of jelly beans. Horrifying! They say that each cyst is a failed attempt of ovulation, and as you know ovulation is when your ovary produces an egg to be released into your fallopian tube with the hopes of becoming fertilized by the sperm. So, since my body doesn't allow this process to happen naturally we had to turn to an infertility specialist.

As usual our infertility doctor "Dr. T" started us off with the basics, the charting, the pills, the shots, the ultrasounds. After two and a half years we literally spent over $15,000, and we had nothing to show from it not even a "false positive".  It was insanity, we did the same things over and over and over hoping to get a different result.

At that point we took the last bit of room on our charge cards to cover a few months of IUI's. An IUI (Intrauterine Insemination) is a procedure where the sperm is "washed" (they remove any debris or mutated sperm) and then incert the sperm into a catheter, and then released them inside my body right where they need to be to meet the egg. Well, after a few months of multiple IUI's we were still unsuccessful.

That was the breaking point for me. I had put my body and mind through so much at that point that we needed to take a step back and regroup. I was stressed to the max and everyone around me sure knew it. I left my stressful job of 7 years and started on a new stressfree life in  January of 2014. So here we are 1 year later and we are ready to get back onto this horse.

In the past year we have been paying off all of the debts that we had accrued during the 3 year process. We both work full time, and I even started my own business with Origami Owl to help lower our debt.

The sad part is that even though we have busted our butts to get this far, our only option at this point is IVF (In Vitro Fertilization). IVF is a process in which eggs are removed from my body, fertilized with his sperm and then placed back into my body. All my body has to do at that point is allow the embryo to implant. Sounds easy, right? Well, here is the kicker. I have never been pregnant, so we don't even know if my body will allow me to carry a child. This brings me to why we need your help!

There are two ways to go about IVF

#1 - For roughly $15,000 you get one attempt. If it works, it works - if it doesn't, it doesn't.

#2 - For roughly $30,000 "Shared Risk IVF" you have SIX attempts to bring a baby home from the hospital, or you receive a REFUND, you get your money back on everything except for your medications and the anesthesia (that's fair).

Obviously being that I have never been pregnant before, we would like to go the route of the "Shared Risk IVF". Even if it was unsuccessful we would get a good hunk of money back that we would be able to use towards the cost of adoption.

So really, even though it is considered a "shared risk" due to the fact that if by the grace of God we were sucessful on our first attempt - this is a win/win for us. One way or the other we will get to be parents either biological or through adoption.

We are about 80% out of debt at this time and are in the process of attempting to get a personal loan of $15,000. With that being said we need your help to make our dreams of becoming parents come true. There is no donation too small, and it only takes a minute to share our story on your Facebook page.

So thank you again for taking the time to read our story- we tried to make it as short. (LOL)
