This is a story of miracles about my grandson Jesse Story. It all started in 2010. At 3 months old Jesse  was diagnosed with Dilated Cardiomyopathy an enlarged heart.  At  6 months he had a heart transplant, a miracle he got through that. He went home from the hospital about 7 months old. At 8 months he was off his feeding tube. He was doing so well with birth to three ot and pt therapy and was caught up with his development for his age of 2 and half, walking, talking, eating, playing, all things toddlers do!
He had one annual biopsy already, they check pressures and rejection, everything  went  well. In August 2012 Jesse went in for his second annual biopsy, very routine, it went terribly wrong he had a stroke on the table. He was put on the ecmo machine to cirulate his blood and keep his body cool. The next day his lungs started filling up with blood. The doctors had to take pressure off his heart so they had to puncture a hole to relieve the pressure. We prayed,a miracle he got through that. with lack of oxygen to the brain from the stroke Jesse has severe brain damage "cerebral palsy" and cortical blindness "CVI". He does not walk or talk yet but with more therapy he will. He as overcome many challenges. He is a fighter. We need your help! Please help our family through these hard difficult times.
thank you so much. pat

A note from grandpa:
After Jesse's stroke he could not move a muscle! He had to learn to breathe on his own! When he was at the hospital he could only open one eye. I just knew he could see me but the doctors said he was blind. Whenever I was with him I felt he saw me and undersood me.
One day I had my hands on Jesse and I was praying for him and he lifted his butt off the bed! I thought I was seeing things but he did it again! Another day I was leaving the hospital I put my cheek next to Jesse's face and he kissed me! His mom saw it! The lord was beginning to heal him. Then one night I was driving home from the hospital I was praying for a miracle when god spoke to me and said to be Jesse's miracle. IF WE PRAY FOR MIRACLES, WE MUST DO OUR  PART AND NEVER LET UP!
When he first came home Jesse had very little response but I always knew he understood me. After months of talking to him and encouraging him he started moving his eyes. One day I said to Jesse look to the left and he did He remembered his right and left but he still could not move his head. Another day I said to Jesse I know you're afraid to move your head because it will drop and your muscles are weak, I will put my hand under your chin so your head won't fall o.k.! Jesse sat there and thought for a moment. He looked to the right and left with his eyes then very gently he leaned his head forward into my hand. The most astonishing thing was not so much that he moved his head but he understood me.
Jesse is very smart, the stroke shut down his motor skills not his intellect. I tell Jesse, "YOU CAN DO ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST WHO STRENGTHEN ME". Philippians 4:13.
Please help us, help my grandson, thank you, bob

This is a poem that Jesse's aunt Angela wrote after his heart transplant:
You are my friend, my heart, my soul
You are the best friend I never knew
                      Though we shall never meet
I love you through and through
                                    Because of you
                                 I have my nephew
                                     Because of you
                            He has met my daughter
                        Though we shall never meet
                                I think of you always
                        Though we shall never meet
I listen to your heartbeat and I thank you.
