Bring Jeff Home!

Some of you might have been wondering why you haven’t seen Jeff’s smiling, friendly face working at our local Walmart lately.
On October 1, 2017 he was experiencing severe back pain and went to The Robert Packer Emergency Room. He was admitted and after six days discovered he would need a major surgery for his spinal stenosis. This could not be done locally and Jeff was transferred to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA.
On October 10, 2017 surgery was done and it was discovered the spinal stenosis was much worse than anyone could have ever thought. After 11 days at TJU, Jeff was transferred to St. Joseph’s Rehab Center in Elmira, NY where he still is currently working hard in his therapies, hoping for a full recovery someday.
But help is needed to speed along this recovery! To get Jeff out of rehab and able to live comfortably in his house some renovations are needed. Accommodations need to be done to help him do day-to-day tasks.
A ramp to walk into his house is an absolute necessity for Jeff.
A shower needs to be added to his downstairs bathroom.
He needs a few appliances upgraded to make it easier for him to daily household activities such as a front loading washer, a side by side refrigerator, and an ADA compliant electric stove.
We would love to find a contractor who would be willing to help Jeff as well.
So here’s where we all come in!! Most everyone in this town knows who Jeff is. We all know that if it were you or I in this hard place Jeff would be the first to help. The first to put together a fundraiser. The first to donate. The first to pick up a hammer and help with renovations.
Let’s come together and get Jeff home! Any little bit can help!
