A Mom in Need

In October of 2016, my mom was arrested due to a mental disorder. At the time we did not know what it was, but things have quickly deteriorated. As she continued to drastically decline, she was unable to work due to hospitalization. As a result of her being hospitalized due to a mental illness, she lost her job. Because she lost her job, she could no longer pay her rent and was evicted. As a result of her being evicted, she was placed in a homeless shelter and is currently in a shelter. Family and friends are unable to help, and I no longer work so I am helpless. My hands are tied and I cry everyday knowing that her support system has failed her as she continues to suffer through a mental illness that we are struggling to treat.
