My Volunteer Trip

Hello

I am soon travelling to India with other classmates from transition year in Clongowes Wood College, to work with The Hope Foundation, which is a registered charity working with street and slum children in Kolkata (formerly Calcutta), India.

The Hope Foundation works to free children and poor families from lives of pain, abuse, poverty and darkness.

Living on the streets, children are exposed to horrendous physical and sexual abuse. Those who survive are left to fend for themselves, with no promise of a safe future. They are forced to work from as young as five years of age to earn money for food and so cannot go to school.

HOPE works to free them from child labour. HOPE funds and operates over 60 projects. I am raising money, along with my class mates, to donate to the Hope Foundation. This money will enables some of the poorest children in the world to grow and develop in a safe sanctuary that they provide.

I would greatly appreciate any donation. My trip has already been paid for, and also the fees that 'go-fund me' charge will also be paid through a special donation from a kind sponsor, so all donations you give, large or small will go straight to the Hope Foundation, so please give as much as you can, but every donation no matter how small is apprecaited.

Thank You .

Ethan.
