Some of you know that I have been pursuing a career in modeling. And now I have been given a huge opportunity..
About 2 months ago I went to my first audition in Seattle for the company Seattle Talent. Being my first audition, my nerves were high but my excitement was higher, I memorized a script and interviewed for a call back which would be 3 days later. When I got the callback, I was told that they loved my look and my personality.. and this was the first step to where I am now. I have been attending acting classes- where I am learning so much, and every single audition opportunity I have, I jump on it. A few weeks ago I received an email that IMTA (International Modeling & Talent Association) was coming to Seattle. Little did I know, when I got to Seattle, the “big shot” agents from New York and LA flew in that morning scouting for talent. I interviewed in a room with 6 of these agents. Later that night I received a call that they unanimously picked me to represent Seattle Talent at the IMTA event held in New York from July 15th-19th. During these 5 days, I will be attending seminars and competitions. I will also get the opportunity to audition for over 200 top agents, managers, and casting directors looking to find their next model/actress. So far I have been able to pay for my portfolio, stylist, and acting/modeling classes, with my savings and with help from family. I am now working to save for this trip. I still need $4,000 more to cover the expenses for the NYC IMTA competition (entry fee, travel) and additional classes to prepare for this huge AND exciting opportunity in my life.
