I never imagined I’d be in a position where I needed to ask for help, but life took an unexpected turn this week.

Late at night, while doing my laundry at the local laundromat after work, I dozed off for just a moment. When I woke up, my heart dropped—my backpack was gone. Inside it were some of the most important things I own: my work computer, my credit cards, and personal documents. In just a few minutes, everything I rely on day-to-day was taken from me.

I’ve filed reports and am doing everything I can, but replacing what was stolen is more than I can handle on my own right now. I’m hoping to raise $2, 850 to cover the cost of a replacement computer, iPad/tablet, and the fees for recovering and replacing my documents.
